why we're on wall street. why we're occupying. why...
angi dill: ok sarah so i have been following this too but i still do not see what we are rallying for? any ideas?
me: hey there! it's a giant, and very intimidating goal underneath it all: to end to corruption of the top 1% and manipulation in our tax and banking system, where the country as a whole is loosing billions of dollars because the wealthiest are paying less taxes than we are, and many corporations aren't paying any at all. because of that, we, the 99% suffer from the tax cuts and job losses. the main goal over all right now though is to get the attention from the country. make sure we all know. it's been happening since we can remember, but no one does anything about it because honestly, it sounds like a hopeless cause. but that doesn't mean we can keep sitting by and letting it happen. another issue, that i find interesting, is about all of the giant corporate bailouts, where they are given so much money, and yet any of us who are in debt won't see a penny of it. and with them not paying taxes, it doesn't trickle down to help us all as a whole, it's staying up there with them. AND it's all technically legal. everything they do is legal. which has to do with people in the government looking out for each other and their own agendas. so laws are being passed and bought, and the games are played, and things that will help us aren't passed because people won't pass something that makes them give away their money, which i will agree, let them have a chunk of it, most of it, but they still need to participate in taxes just like the rest of us. they're putting us into a corner and making us run out of options.

oldfilmsflicker: Bank of America customers with basic checking accounts will be hit with a $5 monthly fee in order to use a debit card for purchases, Bloomberg News reported Thursday. Weekly adventures in 'human being' failure
I live close to where I work, so I make a habit of going home every day for lunch.  It’s a practice that I’m quite fond of and very unwilling to give up.  Yesterday as I was enjoying a new episode of ‘How I Met Your Mother’ and leftover tacos for lunch, my doorbell rang.  “WTF??” I thought, “You dare try and ruin my lunch? Who the hell are you at my...
